As we enter the last couple of weekends of the unofficial summer season, a reminder that the weather is supposed to be great this Sunday when the Phillies play the Padres. And if you go, and if you buy a 50-50 raffle ticket, half the raffle’s proceeds goes to the nonprofit CADEkids.
So, make it a Sunday to get some sun, see the young Phillies and make a difference.

This is my first crowdsourcing request. It’s to help Gabriel Vallie. Gabriel lost his father in a car accident when Gabe was little. Now, Gabe’s mother, Heidi, and uncle, Frederick, were murdered a few days ago in New Jersey by Heidi’s fiance. The gunman, after a standoff with police, killed himself. I met Gabe last year at West Virginia University. He is a good young man. A lot of healing now has to be done. We can give him a little of that hope by making sure he can finish his education at WVU. Tonight, the First Annual Game Show Night excites all who come to the Mummers Museum. Think your favorite game shows, add Mummers and Local 98 and you got real fun. Proceeds benefit the museum and 298, the union’s charity arm. Come on down!
